Ayub Hospital launches free cancer treatment for Hazara, AJK & GB
State-of-the-art facility to serve Hazara, AJK & GB; expensive medications provided free of cost
Revolutionary Advancement for the People of Hazara Division, Cancer Treatment Services Begin at Ayub Teaching Hospital. In a significant development for the people of Hazara, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ayub Teaching Hospital has officially launched cancer treatment services—an initiative that marks a major healthcare milestone for the region. While the formal inauguration of this state-of-the-art facility is expected soon, the Chairman of the Board of Governors, Professor Dr. Abid Jameel, recently visited the newly established cancer ward and pharmacy. He was accompanied by BOG member Professor Dr. Alam Zeb Manan, senior hospital officials, and heads of various departments. A key feature of this service is the provision of expensive cancer medications free of cost, many of which were previously unaffordable for most patients. This initiative will greatly benefit not only the residents of Hazara but also patients from Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, who previously had to travel to Peshawar for treatment. With the launch of these services, Ayub Teaching Hospital becomes the second MTI institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to offer cancer treatment. This significant progress is a result of the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of Chairman BOG Professor Dr. Abid Jameel, who has been at the forefront of the hospital’s ongoing development. The hospital administration remains committed to further enhancing this facility, ensuring quality care and compassionate support for patients in the region.
